Hugo Jennings became the conductor of the South London Jazz Orchestra from 1st January 2024. Hugo is a renowned jazz and classical pianist, singer and conductor. He’s performed regularly at jazz venues and concert halls, and is the founder and director of the Battersea Jazz Festival.
Hugo took over from James Keirle. James was SLJO’s musical director for five years until the end of 2023, when he headed off to Spain for the next stage of his musical adventures.
